The faculty of foreign languages of Gomel State University named after Francisk Skaryna invites you to the International scientific conference “Important issues of Romano-Germanic philology and methods of teaching foreign languages” which will be held on 25 October 2013. 

 The main areas of research:

1. Important issues of linguistic research
2. Studies in the field of literature
3. Theory and practice of translation
4. Language aspect of cross-cultural communication
5. Studies of linguistic & cultural phenomena
6. Modern technologies in methods of foreign language teaching
7. Country-specific approach in teaching foreign languages

The Conference will offer opportunities for sharing ideas and good practice in different aspects of language and literature studies as well as in learning, teaching and assessment in foreign languages.

 To take part in the conference, please send printed and electronic version of your report and fill in the application form. The submission deadline is 15 June 2013.

 Requirements for the materials

 Materials for publication should be submitted in the Russian, Belarusian or English language in a text editor MS Word 2003-2007. The text of the report should not exceed 3 pages. Font - Times New Roman, size - 14 pt, line spacing - single, margins: left and lower – 2,5 cm, upper and right - 2,0 cm, indentation - 1,25 cm. The text is aligned in width. Not allowed numbering of pages, automatic word wrap, and the hanging line. The title is printed in the center of the first line in bold capital letters without hyphenation. The list of references is placed at the end of the text and should comply with the requirements of GOST 7.1-2003. References should be numbered in order of citation and are placed in the text in square brackets

The invitations to the authors of the admitted reports will be sent by e-mail. It is planned to publish a collection of materials on the results of the conference.

 The criteria for the selection of materials for publication - the relevance of the topic, the scientific importance, methodical and practical applicability of the results of research, the validity of the conclusions.

 Registration fee is 50 thousand Belarusian rubles. Participants pay a registration fee during registration. The costs of transport, as well as expenses on food and accommodation are paid by the participants of the conference or the sending party.
